Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Building in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. In this armed post, you will interact with staff and visitors, uphold access control procedures, and provide outstanding customer service. Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of all persons entering or leaving the premises.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and/or unusual activities as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed to address incidents or emergencies at the government facility.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to potential threats or emergencies, utilizing training provided by Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

*Must have (No Exceptions): 

  • Active driver’s license 
  • Valid Florida Security License D License and G License

     and at least ONE of the following:

    • U.S. Military Service (DD214 Honorable Discharge); or
    • Police/Corrections Academy Certification (U.S. only with Certificate); or
    • Associate's Degree (60 College Credits on Official Transcripts
