As a Security Officer - Utilities Access Gate in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a utilities environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, managing access points, and verifying credentials. You will remain visible throughout the location, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the overall security-related needs of the site.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining access control procedures specific to the utility environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
