Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Bell Gardens, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, as you respond to situations and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials as required for entry into restricted areas.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, including situations that may require the use of authorized defensive equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
