As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including those unique to healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned healthcare facilities and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, patients, and visitors regarding security-related matters and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including providing assistance during evacuations, medical emergencies, or other critical events specific to healthcare environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
