Job Description


As a Security Officer - Real Estate Patrol Unarmed in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining visible throughout a commercial real estate location. You will interact with tenants and visitors, providing outstanding customer service while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and security-related standards at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report any suspicious behavior or conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for all occupants.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with property management, tenants, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings while on patrol, adapting to changing environments and conditions as required by the site.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and first aid are preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
