Job Description


As a Security Officer - Secret Clearance Patrol in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will interact with staff and visitors, deliver outstanding customer service, and respond to situations with professionalism. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help maintain a secure environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and others as needed during patrols and incidents.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client contacts to support the security-related needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
