What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using good judgment while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor and observe activities within the location to identify potential security-related issues and report findings according to protocols.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals as required by site policies.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate written reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public within the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
