Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Operations in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer, you will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and stay alert to potential security-related concerns within the government facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or possess an Associate’s Degree or have completed 60 college credits or have a Police Academy Certificate or Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
