What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner in a government environment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or the client as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence while on duty to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out security-related responsibilities.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
