As a Security Officer – Armed Retail Patrols PT in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Pay: $26.50 / hour
Location: Austin Tx 

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Minimum 5 years of Armed Security, or 3 years Law Enforcement, Corrections or Military experience 
  • Active Level III Armed Security License
  • Ability to stay alert and focused during shifts
  • Strong communication and observation skills

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior or activities and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist with customer inquiries and help to deter theft or other unwanted actions.
  • Interact professionally with employees, guests, and/or contractors while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site requirements.
  • Follow all instructions and training related to carrying and handling firearms as required by the armed post profile.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas.
  • Hold a current CPR certification; this is preferred.
  • Hold a current handcuffing certification; this is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
