As a Security Guard - Armed Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll help to deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible security-related presence.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with employees, visitors, and the public at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuff, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
