Job Description


As a Security Officer - Telecom Entry Control in West Chester, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible, assist with badge access, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Perform access control duties at the location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors while upholding Allied Universal’s standards for customer service.
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
