Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Unit in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible, and offer outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Fully qualified armed applicants are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus!

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities according to established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats to the premises.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or the public while carrying out assigned duties.
  • Handle and carry a firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
