Job Description


As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Dispatch in Lake Forest, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Dispatch professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting security-related operations within a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. You will help to deter incidents by monitoring communications, coordinating responses, and providing clear information to both team members and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor and manage incoming and outgoing communications at the dispatch post, coordinating responses and relaying information to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using established protocols to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any potential concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications, incidents, and activities occurring during the shift.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as required.
  • Assist with access control measures, verifying credentials and granting entry as appropriate for the manufacturing and industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
