Job Description


As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Driver in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol the manufacturing and industrial location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with staff and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires you to meet AU driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding incidents and/or security-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities and incidents as required by site-specific policies.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as needed within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
