Job Description


As a Security Officer - School Perimeter Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role includes conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, faculty, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for all individuals on the premises.
  • Document and report any observed security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and enforcement of site-specific rules and regulations as directed by site leadership.
  • Support emergency preparedness drills and participate in evacuation procedures or other emergency protocols as required by the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
