Job Description


As a Security Guard - Hospital Entry Check in Port Saint Lucie, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Greet and interact with patients, visitors, and staff in a welcoming and professional manner at the healthcare location.
  • Carry out security-related screening procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly with individuals to provide directions and information as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site leadership and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Document and report any security-related concerns, incidents, or irregularities observed during the shift.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior and/or security-related threats within the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have experience working in a hospital morgue.
  • Have experience restraining individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have experience with vaccines in a hospital setting.
  • Have supervisory experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
