What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to observe for unusual behavior or potential security-related concerns.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with Allied Universal management, client representatives, and local authorities as required.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to daily activities, incidents, and/or any security-related matters encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as directed by site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
