Job Description


As a Security Officer - Residential Foot Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while being a visible presence. You will interact with residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols established for residential locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, trespassing, or unusual activity, to the appropriate parties.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and offer assistance to residents and guests.
  • Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, daily activities, and observations while on patrol.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and property management to address security-related concerns and support a positive residential environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
