As a Security Officer - Education Campus Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious behavior or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and supporting campus operations as required.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
• Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities as needed to support a positive and secure learning environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
