Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Dallas, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. In this driving and armed post, you will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with team members. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols within the government location.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and visitors as needed.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as specified by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
