Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Real Estate Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated commercial real estate locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and tenants, and respond to various situations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the commercial real estate property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and/or other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
  • Collaborate with property management, tenants, and/or visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as needed.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, alarms, and/or requests for assistance throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
