As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report observations according to established protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors with access control and verification processes as required by site policies.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts using required reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel during incidents, following proper communication channels.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activities and provide reassurance to those on site.
  • Participate in ongoing training and adhere to all Allied Universal and site-specific procedures and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
