Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. This role involves both armed and driving responsibilities, offering a dynamic environment where you will interact with the public and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor and control access points to the facility, verifying identification and authorization as required.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed for incident response and reporting.
  • Maintain readiness to respond to emergencies, including the appropriate use of firearms as required for the post profile.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client-specific protocols for armed patrol duties within a government environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
