Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This role includes armed responsibilities and driving duties, offering a dynamic environment where you can make a difference by supporting the security-related needs of the community. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and/or criminal activity.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and the client site management.
  • Assist first responders and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and security-related activities according to company and client protocols.
  • Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with training and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with Class B and passenger endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
