Job Description


As a Security Officer - Warehouse Entry Screener in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling designated logistics and distribution areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a secure environment, and interact with individuals to provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or materials entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor and control access points, verifying credentials and maintaining logs as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate with team members and site management to address security-related concerns and maintain a secure environment.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or irregularities according to company and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
