Job Description


As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you’ll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You’ll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they’re needed most.


Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon 

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements 

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
  • Security Experience: 1+ years
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
  • NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for any irregularities.
  • Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious behavior in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Document and communicate security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts by following established protocols and assisting with drills or actual events as needed.
  • Interact with members of the public and/or employees in a professional manner while upholding the values and standards of Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Being at least 21 years of age is required.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
