As a Security Officer - Healthcare Campus Patrol in Eureka, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture that puts people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols to help maintain order and support emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns related to the healthcare environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support access control procedures as required by site policies.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to support a secure environment for all individuals on site.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal and site-specific policies and procedures while representing the company in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
