As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will remain visible throughout your shift, respond to various situations including assisting with individuals in distress, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disturbances.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives as required.
  • Assist staff, visitors, and/or patients with directions and general information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and/or sensitive areas within the location.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, such as fire alarms or medical emergencies, as directed by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccinations are required for work in hospital environments.
  • Work may involve assignments in hospital morgue areas.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
