Now Hiring Full Time Security Officers!

 

Working in conjunction with a Metropolitan Transit Task Force and our client security teams. MetroLink security professionals provide safety and security of riders on the transit light rail system, station platforms throughout the Greater St. Louis region. Customer service skills are a high priority. This is an outdoor posted position. Duties will include post security until relieved.


Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

Preferred Skills: Ability to Lift 20+ Pounds

Requirements: 1 year Security Experience, Computer Literacy

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately during emergencies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, potential hazards, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding any incidents or security-related matters.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patrol activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including assisting with evacuations or other procedures as directed by site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
