As a Security Officer - Armed Commercial Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will monitor and patrol a dynamic commercial real estate location. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for armed personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the location, maintaining a visible presence as an armed security-related professional.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and property management to address security-related concerns and support the overall security-related objectives at the location.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond appropriately to emergencies, including medical, fire, or other critical incidents, while adhering to company and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have Act 235 qualification if applying in Pennsylvania.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
