Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Aero/Defense Patrol in Marietta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an aerospace and defense location. In this armed and driving role, you will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with clients and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms and/or other defensive equipment as required by post instructions and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and helping to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and maintenance needs according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or investigations.
  • Remain alert to potential threats or suspicious activity within the aerospace or defense environment and take appropriate action according to Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement military or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
