As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrols Full-Time in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols at a dynamic retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This post requires both armed and driving responsibilities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, assisting with questions and offering guidance while maintaining a professional presence at the location.
• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, adapting to the needs of a retail environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies that may arise within the retail or mall setting.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business, including interior areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Interact with store employees and visitors, offering assistance and helping to maintain order as needed.
• Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal's procedures and site requirements.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to situations requiring an armed security-related presence, following all applicable protocols and guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
