As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Fountain Valley, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to situations as they arise. You will remain visible throughout your assigned area, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences during the shift.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
• Operate and maintain awareness of surveillance equipment, communication devices, and other security-related tools as required for the post.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal procedures while performing armed patrol duties at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
