Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Community Patrol in South Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols throughout a residential location, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, allowing you to utilize your experience while providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and residents by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed.
  • Monitor access points and verify the identity of individuals entering the premises to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related emergencies or requests for assistance at all times while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A current armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
