Job Description


As a Security Officer - Customer Service Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences within the food and beverage production location.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents or security-related concerns.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and helping to manage visitor and employee movement as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting first responders when required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
