As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas while carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by conducting security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at the retail location.
  • Carry a firearm and maintain readiness to respond appropriately to security-related incidents in accordance with training and company protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require armed intervention.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual circumstances according to company and client requirements.
  • Assist customers, visitors, and/or employees with directions, information, and general assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during incidents requiring additional support.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
