Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Response in Berkeley, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will remain visible throughout your assigned area, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergencies at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols provided by Allied Universal.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location, including the business and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential threats, documenting incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with controlling access to the location, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a secure environment for all personnel and visitors.
  • Follow all company and client-specific protocols regarding the handling and storage of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
