What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support a secure environment for all individuals on location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with campus staff and law enforcement as needed to address incidents and support a positive environment.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings while on patrol to identify and report potential hazards or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
