As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence throughout government locations. You'll conduct regular patrols, maintain high visibility, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate escalation protocols as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and to observe any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report any security-related concerns, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as required in the event of an incident.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain proper care and control of assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
