As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a sense of security, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within an educational environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols and training.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and common areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disturbances.
  • Observe and report any security-related issues, hazards, or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required, including guiding individuals to designated areas and supporting first responders as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
