What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all individuals at the location by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Carry and maintain authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal standards and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Respond promptly to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Document all incidents, observations, and activities in a clear and timely manner, submitting reports as required.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when appropriate to support emergency response activities.
  • Remain visible and approachable to assist staff, visitors, and/or patrons with inquiries or concerns related to security-related matters.
  • Participate in ongoing training and maintain required certifications for armed patrol duties.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles is required.
  • An armed guard card or armed guard license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
