Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Residential Driver in Boca Raton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional assigned to an access control post in a residential community, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving position. You will provide exceptional customer service while assisting residents and guests, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in a caring, innovative environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Monitor and control access at entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the residential community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, visitors, and Allied Universal management, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Support emergency response efforts by coordinating with local authorities and Allied Universal management when required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • At least one year of law enforcement experience or two years of security supervisor or manager experience or three years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
