As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. You will remain visible throughout the assigned area, respond to situations as they arise, and embody our values of integrity, teamwork, and people-first service in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken as required.
  • Assist with access control, monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
  • Communicate and collaborate with retail staff and management to address security-related concerns and support a secure environment for employees and customers.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or property damage in and around the premises.
  • Follow all company, client, and legal requirements regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas roles only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
