As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, engage with the public, and deliver outstanding customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report suspicious activities and/or persons within the retail environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and local authorities as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits within the retail location.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and helping to deter theft or other undesirable behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
