Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol Driver in Spring, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible and approachable. In this armed and driving role, you will respond quickly to situations, provide outstanding customer service, and maintain strong communication with visitors and staff. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Interact with visitors, guests, and employees to offer assistance and provide information as needed.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity promptly.
  • Follow all Allied Universal protocols and site-specific instructions while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
