Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate conflict resolution techniques.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance to customers and staff as required.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas within the retail environment, reporting any irregularities or incidents according to company protocol.
  • Work collaboratively with retail staff and Allied Universal team members to address concerns and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Document observations and incidents accurately in daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
