As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer serving a government location, where you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents. Your presence will support a secure environment for all individuals on site, while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report findings according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines, following all relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities, incidents, and observations as required by post orders.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when needed, providing support during critical events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
