As a Security Officer - Transportation Patrol Unarmed in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and proactive approach will contribute to a positive atmosphere while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, clients, and visitors as needed.
• Document incidents and daily activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with access control and/or vehicle checks as required by the location's procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Having a guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
