What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas within the utility location, verifying credentials and reporting irregularities.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or incidents according to company and client protocols.
  • Assist with emergency situations, such as fire, medical, or other critical incidents, following established procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and law enforcement as required to address security-related concerns.
  • Remain alert to potential threats or hazards specific to utility operations and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
